After agents complete the initial contracting form, we will grant access to the Spark Platform and begin our training process within 4 business days. Agents will login with their contracting information already populated.

Understanding an agent’s “Onboarding” status

We track your agents throughout the onboarding process so you have full visibility over who has completed contracting and the steps to access Spark’s full Platform. Go to your “Agency View” tab, select “Agents”, and use the quick filters along the top to see what your agents should be doing next. Check out our step-by-step guide HERE to learn how to make the most of this feature. To learn more about what each status means, please read below:

Agents contracting

  • Pending: Completing Contracting Form: This means your agent was added to Spark’s CRM and needs to complete the contracting form so we have their contracts on file and start any required transfer steps.
  • —> Next step for the agent: Complete the contracting form.

Agents processing

  • Pending: Spark is Processing Contracts: This means Spark has received the agent’s contracting form and is processing any required contracting steps.
  • —> Next step for the agent: None! Wait 48 hours to receive access.

  • Pending: Account Under Review: This means Spark is reviewing your profile and is preparing to provision access to the Platform. You might also see “Pendging: Account Under Review - Bulk Transfer Only” to indicate agents who do not need to complete the contracting form as they are moving over with you only through bulk carrier transfers.
  • —> Next step for the agent: None! Wait 48 hours to receive access.

  • Pending: Preparing Account: This means Spark is provisioning access to the Platform.
  • —> Next step for the agent: Be on the lookout for an email from Spark.

Agents onboarding

  • Onboarding in Progress: This means Spark has sent you an email invitation to the Platform, and the agent may have already started onboarding steps.
  • —> Next step for the agent: Complete the onboarding modules. Email support@sparkadvisors.com if you can’t find the email invitation.

Platform agents

  • Onboarding Completed: All onboarding modules have been completed on the Spark Platform.
  • —> Next step for the agent: None!

Other status if there is an error:

  • Pending: Contracting confirming details: Spark’s team identified missing or wrong information in the contracting form. Examples include no contracts, agency, or levels listed. Next step for the agent: Look for an email from support@sparkadvisors.com requesting additional information. This is needed before contracting and platform next steps can be actioned on.
  • Onboarding Paused/Expired: the agent hasn’t completed the onboarding modules on the Spark platform after 30 days. Email support@sparkadvisors.com if you’d still like to onboard.
  • Not onboarding: we’ll use this status to convey that an agent or sub-agency has said that they do not want to onboard.
  • Churned: the agent has left your agency.
  • Sunfire-only: the agent only has access to our enrollment tool, but not our Platform.
  • Blank: used in certain circumstances to indicate outstanding steps for an Agency Principal who is onboarding

Onboarding agents to the platform

After initial onboarding, we will proactively onboard new agents immediately after they have completed major contracting steps. The goals of the campaign are to:

  • Remind agents to complete onboarding tasks, such as completing their marketing profile.
  • Notify agents that their book of business upload has been completed.

If you want to start an agent’s Platform Onboarding and the agent has not received a notification from us yet, please email support@sparkadvisors.com and request the onboarding emails.
